KATJA WHO?
Katja Vauhkonen is an artist manager for award-winning metal band Stam1na, and upcoming bands like Stoned Statues, Block Of Flats and Vauxdeville. She started her own business in April 2021 (KV Management, K. Vauhkosen Musiikit ja Meiningit)) doing PR & marketing and management for local and international artists. She joined forces also with the leading Finnish management company Backbone Management (VV, The Rasmus, Swallow The Sun, Blind Channel etc).
She is also the Executive Director of IndieCo (the Finnish independent record producers association). IndieCo represents over 75 indie labels in Finland.
On the PR & marketing side Katja is responsible f.e. for Century Media’s releases in Finland.
Katja has won the award for best Marketing & Promotion person of the Year twice (2014 & 2015) and also the Manager of the Year award (2019) at the Finnish Music Industry Awards (Music X Media).
Katja Vauhkonen on artistimanageri ja PR-henkilö sekä IndieCon toiminnanjohtaja. Artistirosteriin management-puolella kuuluvat Stam1na, Stoned Statues, Block Of Flats ja Vauxdeville. Katja perusti oman firmansa K. Vauhkosen Musiikit ja Meiningit vuonna 2021, jota edelsi 10 vuotta Sony Musicilla ja 7 vuotta Fullsteam Managementissa ja Fullsteam Recordsilla. Vauhkonen yhdisti management-voimat Backbone Managementin (mm. VV, The Rasmus, Swallow The Sun, Blind Channel) kanssa syksyllä 2024.
Katja on toiminut itsenäisten levy-yhtiöiden etujärjestön IndieCo ry:n toiminnanjohtajana vuodesta 2021 – yhdistyksellä on tällä hetkellä 75 jäsenyhtiöitä. IndieCon kautta Katja vaikuttaa myös mm. IFPI:n ja Impalan hallituksissa sekä Music Finlandin että Musiikin edistämissäätiön työryhmissä. PR -puolella Vauhkonen vastaa mm. Century Median ja Sakara Recordsin julkaisuista Suomessa.
Vauhkonen on palkittu alan Industry Awards -gaalassa vuosina 2014 & 2015 Vuoden Markkinointi- ja promootiopäällikkönä sekä vuonna 2019 Vuoden Manageri-pystillä samaisessa gaalassa.
